Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our APP Hospitalist (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will join a dynamic and established team at CHI St. Joseph Health in Bryan-College Station, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate inpatient care, serving as a key member of our leading healthcare team and contributing significantly to patient outcomes within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Every day you will manage a predictable 16-18 patient census, working closely with supervising physicians to provide focused inpatient care. Your role will encompass comprehensive patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges. To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active Texas license. Job Requirements

Required:

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Texas.
  • Strong clinical skills in inpatient medicine, including comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and management (under physician supervision).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented Hospitalist environment, adapting to a structured 7-on/7-off schedule.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care and ensuring patient satisfaction within a rapid response team supported model.
  • DEA registration or eligibility for registration.
