UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Nurse Practitioner/CRNP) to join our Vascular Surgery team within the nationally renowned UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Williamsport. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered vascular care across outpatient, inpatient, and procedural settings while working alongside a highly collaborative surgical team.
In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact caring for patients with complex vascular conditions, with a balanced practice that includes clinic, hospital-based care, and operating room experience.
Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- No holidays
- Balanced schedule across clinic, hospital, & operating room
- Approx. 40% Outpatient, 40% Rounding/Consults, & 20% OR

What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive care for vascular surgery patients across multiple settings
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic vascular conditions
- Perform inpatient rounding and consults
- Assist in the operating room and participate in perioperative care
- Deliver outpatient care and follow-up in clinic
- Collaborate with vascular surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and disease management
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of growth and development principles
- Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan
- Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care
- Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
- Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Pennsylvania RN license and CRNP certification
- National certification and eligibility for licensure and CRNP certification by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing

- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Graduation from an ARC‑PA-accredited Physician Assistant program
- Bachelor's or master's degree preferred
- Pennsylvania PA license and NCCPA certification
- Required for All APP Candidates
- CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire
- Act 34 Clearance
