NP/PA Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Provider (NP/PA) provides specialized, evidence-based care to pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. As an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, the APP delivers care across inpatient, outpatient, and consultative settings, including the assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions and infusions.

The provider manages medically complex patients, develops and implements treatment plans, orders and interprets diagnostic studies, and administers therapies such as chemotherapy, transfusions, and supportive care. This role works closely with OHSU Pediatric Hematology/Oncology attending physicians, providing local care aligned with OHSU treatment recommendations. Responsibilities also include patient and family education, care coordination, discharge planning, quality improvement activities, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Initial training at the OHSU Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic is required to gain familiarity with protocols and establish collaborative relationships.

  • BLS and PALS
  • NP: Graduate of an NP program; NP and RN licensure through Oregon State Board of Nursing
