Description

As a Certified Nurse Midwife, you will work as part of our care team providing coordinated multi-professional care to our patients. The CNM role is a crucial part of our team and we anticipate will function at the top of their license within this model. The CNM will practice in a split role (office, rounding, and call requirements) caring for women's reproductive health and childbirth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prenatal and postpartum care.
  • Managing patients during labor and delivery.
  • Performing routine gynecological care, including exams
  • Work with a highly functional and collaborative group.
  • Educating patients on family planning.
  • Providing emotional support for expectant and new mothers.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and remain calm.
  • Certified through the American Midwifery Board.
  • Licensed with prescriptive authority through the IN Board of Nursing. (A Collaborative Agreement will be in place when hired); current RN license for the State of Indiana.
  • Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to teach patients about medical care while listening to their wishes while providing sound medical advice.
