Job Requirements

Seeking nurse practitioner with cardiology experience who would be responsible for the outpatient management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. Key responsibilities include the following:

Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history and physical examinations.

  • Diagnose and manage common cardiac conditions such as:
  • Coronary artery disease
  • Heart failure
  • Hypertension
  • Atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias
  • Hyperlipidemia
  • Valvular heart disease
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, including ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and laboratory studies.
  • Prescribe medications and adjust therapies according to evidence-based guidelines and state regulations.
  • Provide patient and family education on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence.
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and ancillary services.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.

Work Experience

  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current RN and NP licensure.
  • National certification as an Adult-Gerontology NP, Family NP, or Acute Care NP.
  • Current DEA and prescriptive authority as required.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Cardiology experience preferred.
