Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:

  • Provides a mix of Obstetrical and Gynecological patient care, ranging from wellness exams to routine obstetrical visits. The position does not include an individual obstetric panel; all obstetrical care is co-managed with the physician team.
  • Responsible for providing specialty full-scope Obstetric and Gynecologic care services, including assessing and managing patients in the clinic following established standards and practices.
  • Physicians may delegate to Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate or Certified Nurse Midwife those medical duties that are within the physician's scope of practice and the Women's Health NP/PA, or Certified Nurse's training, and that are allowed by law.
  • This position will work in concert with physicians to ensure the highest quality of care for their patients.
  • Provides complete physical assessment, including health history, periodic health assessments, health education, and counseling to new and follow-up patients as deemed appropriate by the medical leadership of the group.
  • Orders and interprets routine diagnostic tests, establishes medical diagnosis, and reviews and revises treatment and therapy plans as needed.
  • Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing physician directives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials:

  • Nurse Practitioner: $123,368.96 - $185,053.44 per year.
  • Certified Nurse Midwife: $120,556.80 - $180,835.20 per year.
  • Physician Associate: $126,763.52 - $190,145.28 per year.

Workdays: This role is located at Legacy Emanuel Medical Office Building 2. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, three-four- 10-hour shifts. Day(s) off; to be determined. Possible Saturday coverage will be required. In addition, there is front-line on-call support that consists of 1 day per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 holiday per year.

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner, Midwifery or Physician Associate program and current Oregon license is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional medical experience in a clinical setting in the specialty care OBYGN is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Nurse Practitioner, Midwifery or Physician Associate experience is preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Epic experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
