At University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC), part of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), we're building a vascular care program grounded in collaboration, innovation, and excellence. As a 0.4 FTE Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you'll join a highly skilled and supportive clinical team with strong physician and peer collaboration, dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered vascular care.

This part-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking to remain actively engaged in vascular and surgical care while maintaining greater flexibility in their schedule.
What You'll Do

You'll work closely with vascular surgeons and the interdisciplinary care team to manage vascular patients across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing inpatient and outpatient vascular consults and follow-ups
• Providing pre- and post-procedural patient care, assessment, and education
• Collaborating closely with vascular surgeons, APP peers, nursing, and other clinical staff
• Supporting care coordination and clinical decision-making for complex vascular patients
• Assisting with the ongoing management and continuity of care for the vascular patient population
• Contributing to quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives

Schedule

This is a part-time, 0.4 FTE position designed to provide consistent clinical support to the vascular surgery team.

• 0.4 FTE / part-time
• Primarily weekday coverage
• No routine nights or weekends
• Schedule to be discussed based on department needs
• In addition to working at UM BWMC, providers (both APPs and physicians) may rotate to outpatient office locations in Queenstown and Easton, with a new Annapolis location coming soon, to support patient access and continuity of care

Work Experience

We're seeking a confident, highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) who thrives in a collaborative surgical and acute care environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maryland, or eligibility for Maryland licensure
• National certification as an NP (Family, Adult, or Acute Care) or NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants
• Clinical experience in vascular surgery, surgery, interventional radiology, cardiology, or acute care strongly preferred
• Ability to manage complex patients in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working within a collaborative, physician-supported practice model
