Job Description
Cordial Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant to serve as a part-time, in-person psychiatric provider floater throughout New York State.

This position is ideal for an adaptable and independent clinician who enjoys variety, can quickly build relationships with interdisciplinary teams and is comfortable traveling to different coverage locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide in-person psychiatric coverage at assigned New York locations
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, consultations and follow-up visits
  • Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Prescribe, monitor and adjust psychotropic medications
  • Evaluate treatment response, medication effectiveness and side effects
  • Adapt quickly to different clinical environments and workflows
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers and families
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
  • Provide compassionate, trauma-informed and resident-centered care
  • Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation

Requirements

  • Board-certified PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience
  • Previous psychiatric NP or PA experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing or long-term-care setting is required
  • Active and unrestricted New York professional license
  • Active DEA registration required
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly for in-person coverage
  • Strong geriatric psychiatric assessment and psychopharmacology skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly
  • Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred
