We are seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urology team. In this role you will interface with all levels and disciplines of the healthcare team to provide excellent patient-centered care, functioning independently in the clinic setting in addition to conducting inpatient rounding and consults. A desire or interest in men's health is preferable, but not required

Job responsibilities do NOT include time in the OR. There are opportunities to be involved in limited procedures. Position does not include pediatric patients

About the Team/Division

  • We have a tight-knit and highly collaborative team consisting of three physicians and three APPs, striving to provide the highest quality, patient-centered care through a team-based approach
  • The practice includes adult patients in all aspects of urological care for males and females
  • As a teaching hospital, you will have some interaction with residents and assist with their education and growth
  • Help develop standard work in the care of the Urology patients by leading quality improvement projects
  • Opportunity to participate in research within the department if desired
  • This position holds day hours Monday - Friday only, no after hours or weekend duties

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program
  • Current MN license to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Minnesota (or ability to become licensed in Minnesota)
  • BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Urology experience (APP or other)

  • Team player, flexible, confident, dependable and organized
  • Self-starter who is creative in seeking out opportunities for team improvement and or personal growth
  • Enjoys working with a diverse population

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant pay is based on year of licensure and specialty area. The grid below represents current pay rates (rates adjusted annually in April) for this position:
