Requirements:

Education:

-Degree/Education: Bachelor's degree. Graduate from an accredited college or university

certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

Experience:

- Must have at least 2 years of experience in the clinical setting within the last 36 months.

Certifications/License

- BLS

- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of

Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) is required.

- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) to practice as a Physician Assistant in a State, District of

Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

Job Duties:
• Provide a full range of Physician Assistant services in primary and specialty medical care within the limits of their training and privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).
• Participates in the orientation and training of newly assigned personnel, as appropriate.
• Maintain outpatient medical records in accordance with MTF procedures.
• Prepare records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures utilizing the current medical information systems and electronic health record and the knowledge of outpatient coding and medical informatics.
• Collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
• Utilizes knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used outpatient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations as required.
• Clearly communicate to other health personnel either orally or in writing the findings, diagnosis, and planned treatment regimen.
• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react/respond quickly by communicating with other members of the health care team.
• Provide care for a variety of diseases and types of injuries (i.e., acute, chronic and minor trauma), and the skills to recognize emergency conditions in order to diagnose, prescribe for and treat diseases, disorders and injuries, and refer the more complex cases and serious conditions to qualified medical personnel and perform designated treatment.
• Shall provide outpatient health care to qualifying beneficiaries as scheduled by the Government.
• Care shall include but not be limited to continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to entire family regardless of sex, age, or type of problem.
• Will maintain a program of comprehensive health for the family unit, to include preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.
• Will perform occupational health exams and military retirement or separations physicals as operationally needed.
• Will perform virtual mental health assessments as part of military periodic health assessments (PHAs).
• Will perform deployment health assessments - pre and post deployment.
• Determine appropriate means of evacuation of emergency patients, prepare patients for evacuation, and arrange for evacuation support.
• Ensures a safe work environment, employee safe work habits and patient safety IAW regulatory agencies, infection control policies and process improvement initiatives.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate, professional, interpersonal relationships with coworkers, families, peers and other team members.
• Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement.
• Attend the daily clinic safety huddle and monthly flight meetings, where clinic information will be disseminated.
• The contractor will abide by medical staff bylaws upon acceptance of privileges.
