Physician Assistant - Dermatology

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain comprehensive patient medical histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Conduct skin cancer screenings and evaluate various dermatologic conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat common skin disorders, including acne, eczema, rosacea, and other dermatologic conditions.
  • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Perform dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and wide excisions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
  • Educate patients on preventive skin care and treatment options.
  • Perform select minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, such as Botox injections, laser skin resurfacing, and chemical peels, when applicable.
  • Assist physicians with surgical procedures, including Mohs surgery.

Qualifications

  • Active New York Physician Assistant license.
  • Minimum of6 months of Dermatology Physician Assistant experience.
  • Background in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Acute Care is preferred.
