Key Responsibilities
- Obtain comprehensive patient medical histories and perform physical examinations.
- Conduct skin cancer screenings and evaluate various dermatologic conditions.
- Diagnose and treat common skin disorders, including acne, eczema, rosacea, and other dermatologic conditions.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Perform dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and wide excisions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Educate patients on preventive skin care and treatment options.
- Perform select minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, such as Botox injections, laser skin resurfacing, and chemical peels, when applicable.
- Assist physicians with surgical procedures, including Mohs surgery.
Qualifications
- Active New York Physician Assistant license.
- Minimum of6 months of Dermatology Physician Assistant experience.
- Background in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Acute Care is preferred.
