Southern Health Partners is seeking a qualified Medical Provider (MD, PA, or NP) to provide healthcare services at the Chilton County Jail in Alabama.
This is a flexible contract opportunity requiring up to 2 hours per week-an excellent fit for a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner looking to add a meaningful clinical opportunity to their schedule.
You'll provide essential medical care in a structured correctional healthcare environment while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team.
What You'll Do
- Provide medical evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Address acute and chronic healthcare needs
- Develop and manage treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff regarding patient care
- Provide clinical guidance and support as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Practice in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and facility policies
What We're Looking For
- Current MD, PA, or NP license in Alabama
- Appropriate prescriptive authority, as applicable
- Current DEA registration, as applicable
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Commitment to professional, compassionate patient care
- Correctional healthcare experience is welcomed but not required
