Job Description

McLeod Health Seacoast invites a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient Orthopedic Practice in Little River, SC. The APP will focus on comprehensive pain management and spine care in a high-volume clinic, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and a pain management physician.

The role features a 4.5-day workweek with no call, excellent work-life balance, and opportunities to develop expertise in pain management within a growing program near the coast.

Qualifications

  • NP/PA - Experienced candidates highly preferred.
  • Strong interest in pain management, spine care, and orthopedics.
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic pain conditions.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient engagement skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to care delivery.
  • Prior pain management, spine, or orthopedic experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with pain and spine-related conditions, including chronic musculoskeletal pain and post-procedure follow-ups.
  • Conduct new patient consultations, ongoing management, and treatment planning in a high-volume clinic setting.
  • Collaborate closely with the supervising pain management physician and a multidisciplinary orthopedic team.
  • Work within an established orthopedic practice consisting of approximately 9 physicians and 6 APPs, supported by experienced clinical and administrative staff.
  • Maintain a consistent outpatient schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
  • Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 15-25 patients.
  • Provide 100% outpatient care with no required call responsibilities.
  • Participate in a structured onboarding program including system orientation, Epic training, physician shadowing, and progressive autonomy.
