UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a Full-time employed position available for a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join their growing, community-based Wound care/Hyperbaric medicine practice located in Bel Air, MD.

JOB SUMMARY: This role assists in the delivery of patient care services for the wound care population. The nurse practitioner will provide, monitor, and coordinate care for wound care patients. This role assists in wound care nursing education, professional development, training and competencies, and the development of policies, procedures and the program.

Nurse Practitioner Job Specifics:
• Position is outpatient based and includes coverage in the wound care center.
• Excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative and collegial team.
• Ideal candidate will have experience in wound care experience. HBO experience is a plus.
• No weekends or call requirements.

Work Experience

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education & Training: Master of Science with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Registered with Maryland board of examiners of nurses and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland. BLS certification and wound care certification is required. Wound and Ostomy Certification (WOCN) certification is preferred.

Work Orientation & Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of wound care nursing experience and at least two (2) years adult NP experience is preferred. Previous outpatient setting experience is preferred. Must maintain an NPI number and DEA
