- POSITION SUMMARY
- In collaboration with physician(s), demonstrates and provides professional nursing care to specialty patients requiring an advanced level of knowledge and management of their nursing care.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of post master's certificate program for nurse practitioner
- Minimum Experience
- 1 year of clinical experience and expertise in womens health nursing
- Required Registration/License/Certification
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner and licensed in the state of Alabama
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 1 year of hire
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 90 days of hire
- Preferred Education
- N/A
- Preferred Experience
- At least 3 years of advance practice experience in acute care Obstetrics as an NP
- 5 years RN experience in Labor and Delivery
- Preferred Registration/License/Certification
- EFM- electronic fetal monitoring certification
