Nurse Practitioner, Hospitalist

IU Health Medical Group is hiring! We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalistteam at Bloomington Hospital!

Position Details:

• Full-Time
  • Days
  • Schedule- Varies week to week
  • Rotation- Schedule includes weekend rotation with no more than 1 in every 2 weekends
• No call
• 100% Inpatient
• No procedural requirements

Patient Population:

• Adult patients in the inpatient setting coming from the South Region in and around Bloomington, which includes the college student population and those from more rural areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing hospital admissions, in collaboration with a physician, along with rounding responsibilities.
• APP will also provide cross coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• ACNP, FNP or PA certifications required
• Experience preferred but new grads are considered
• APP should have strong desire to work at the top of their license and have multiple years' experience working as either a Hospitalist APP or ICU APP.
• If new to the workforce, would prefer for the APP's training to include significant time in the inpatient setting.

Healthcare System/Hospital Description

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center, part of the Indiana University Health Medical Group, opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.

At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
