Job Overview:

The Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APN) for the Cardiology Service at Rahway Medical Center works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for providing comprehensive and age appropriate direct care and follow up to a population of patients

The components of the role include clinical practice,consultation, professional development, education, and research

The APN works in conjunction with the Cardiology Attending performing patient consults and follow up care

Clinical core privileges will include the management, treatment, and ordering, performing, and interpreting labs, radiography, and other diagnostics test for acute and chronic cardiac disorders in the adult population

Requirements:

• MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program required
• Active New Jersey RN and APN license
• The ideal candidate has at least three (3) years of acute care work experience
• Experience in cardiology is preferred
• APN work experience strongly preferred
• Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable disease, risk of physical injury from direct patient care, operation of equipment and hazardous chemicals
