UConn Health/Waterbury Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant to join our team caring for newborns in the Special Care Nursery (SCN) and Newborn Nursery. Responsibilities:
- Attend high-risk deliveries
- Admit and manage infants in the SCN
- Perform daily rounds and procedures
- Provide care for well babies in the Newborn Nursery
- Participate in Pediatric Codes and trauma responses
- Collaborate with neonatology, pediatric, nursing, and advanced practice teams
Preferred clinical experience includes intubation, umbilical artery and vein catheterization, IV placement, lumbar punctures, and urinary catheterization.
