We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner to join our growing gastroenterology team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with experienced physicians to provide high-quality care to patients in the clinic setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner who enjoys autonomy, teamwork, and variety in their clinical work, while helping patients manage both acute and chronic GI conditions.

Snapshot of Daily Duties:

Patient Care & Clinical Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage new patient consults and follow-up visits
  • Provide routine and urgent follow-up care in the clinic
  • Communicate patient care plans, visit notes, and results with supervising physicians

Procedures & Clinical Services

  • G-tube changes
  • Hemorrhoid banding (training provided)
  • Medication administration and injections
  • Ordering and interpreting lab tests and diagnostic procedures

Patient Education & Care Coordination

  • Perform comprehensive physical exams and document findings
  • Educate patients about conditions, medications, and treatment plans
  • Provide guidance on health maintenance and illness prevention
  • Connect patients with community resources when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Provide telephone triage and consultation for patient concerns

The Must Haves:

  • Registered Nursing license as well as degree level required by each state to obtain NP license.
  • Graduate of an accredited program and board certified with prescriptive authority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must, knowledge of billing services is required, understands the various responsibilities physician/NP/Patient relationship.
  • Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program with certification by a national Nurse Practitioner certification board.
  • Three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital setting. GI experience is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required.
