Join the Parkview Neonatal and Newborn Nursery Team!

The PPG Neonatal and Newborn Nursery team is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our team that cares for our most vulnerable patient population within the communities we serve. Join a robust and growing practice that currently consists of 7 Neonatologists and 8 APPs. An interested candidate should have the ability to collaborate with intra-interdepartmental team members as well as community organizations or members. A qualified candidate would have the ability to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills to best serve our patients.

Schedule and Responsibilities

  • Work locations at PRMC Level III NICU with an in-house Neonatologist and Parkview Randallia Level II Special Care Nursery with a Newborn Hospitalist
  • Participate in 24/7 coverage of both units: day and night shifts of varying durations, with option for occasional 24-hour shifts
  • Clinical responsibilities include attendance of high-risk deliveries and participation in admissions, daily rounding, discharges, procedures, and neonatal transports
  • Ability to participate in unit Quality Improvement initiatives and workgroups

Job Requirements for Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)

  • Graduate of Master of Science from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program (DNP optional)
  • Current or pending state license for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an APP preferred

Job Requirements for Neonatal Physician Assistant

  • Graduate of a Masters' degree program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant Program (ARC-PA)
  • Completion of a Neonatal specific post-graduate APP training program
  • Current or pending state license
  • Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred

Certifications as required by specialty which may be but are not limited to:

  • BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS/ACLS-EP
  • NRP
