Job description

Lay Up & Press Operator - WDPM Shift
4:00pm to 4:00am Monday/Tuesday through Thursday (alternates each week)
$20.00/hr plus $2.00/hr shift differential

This job is responsible for laying up and pressing panels to be used for interior and exterior aircraft parts.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Verifying and withdrawing materials.
Cutting/kitting materials.
Laying up materials.
Loading/unloading press.
Press operation.
Saw operation.
Trimming panels on the CNC.
Completing production paperwork.
Forklift operation is required for some tasks (training provided).
Active participation in operational improvement activities.
Cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.
Other task as needed and flexibility is key.

Candidate skills & requirements

Sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.
2+ years relevant, steady work history is preferred, manufacturing a plus.
Good basic math skills.
Speak/read/write English proficiently.
Have legible handwriting/printing.
Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
Willing to work overtime as needed.

Safran Cabin Materials requires a criminal background check and drug screen to be completed and passed for all positions.
