This is an hourly position and can only work a minimum of 16 hours and a maximum of 29 hours per week. The hourly pay rate for this position is $55/hr.
Description of Duties
Job Summary:
The incumbent will provide specialized nursing care in our adult health programs including family planning, women's health, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV PreExposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). The incumbent will function under a Public Health nurse protocols, diagnosing and treating patient, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary Public Health clinical team to optimize patient care. The NP will also provide guidance and support to RNs and LPNs working in the Health Department and may support other clinical areas such as immunizations. This position will report to the Clinic Administrator.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing and Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia license as an APRN and CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of registered nursing experience. One year of Public Health experience in Women's Health Services. Experience using electronic medical records & EMR systems. Ability to speak both English and Spanish is preferred but not required
