We are hiring a nocturnist to join our hospitalist team. A nocturnist's role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • We take pride in our well-established team at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas of 45 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs), with the support of a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator.
  • Work alongside a diverse group of professionals with backgrounds from all over the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.
  • Outside of work, we come together for social events to celebrate special occasions and share common interests like food and sports.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible physician assistant.
  • We are open to new graduates.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • This is a full-time nocturnist position.
  • Full-time positions follow a 7-nights-on, 7-day-off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For the first 4-6 hours, we have a remote APP taking the pager call from home. If a bedside eval is needed, then they forward the message to the in-house night APP. This allows the in-house APP to make the pt assignments for all the docs the next day. Average of 3-5 bedside calls a night and probably 50 pages.
  • Closed ICU with 24/7 Intensivist on staff and excellent sub-specialty backup- No procedures required.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Annual compensation of $145,000.
  • Eligible for the quality and productivity bonus.
  • Full benefits, including CME allowance.
