The Position

Our client is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join their primary care team. This provider will care for patients across the lifespan, managing a mix of acute and chronic conditions in a fast-paced clinical environment. The practice has an urgent-care-like feel, with a steady patient flow and a variety of acute and primary care needs, while still allowing providers to build ongoing relationships with their patients.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Active Florida APRN License
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certification Required
  • Active DEA License or Ability to Obtain
  • BLS Certification
  • Primary Care Experience Preferred
  • Experience Managing Acute and Chronic Conditions Preferred
  • Strong Clinical Judgment and Communication Skills
  • New Graduates with Relevant Clinical Experience Encouraged to Apply

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing and laboratory studies
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and provide appropriate medication management
  • Manage conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, infections, and other common medical concerns
  • Provide preventive care, health screenings, and patient education
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle practices
  • Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of treatment
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
