Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists
Job Summary:
- Consistently adhere to policies and procedures relative to the use of narcotics controlled substances.
- Participate in time-out procedures for every patient.
- Demonstrate evidence based judgment and take the appropriate corrective actions for adverse patient responses.
- Readily assist with pre-op and post-op evaluations; respond to codes, respiratory emergencies and hospital wide requests within a timely manner.
- Report promptly and be readily available to facilitate on time starts and room turnover.
- Work with a sense of urgency and utilize time and resources wisely.
- Appropriately evaluate, document, and communicate anesthesia status of patients as necessary.
- Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Education:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Graduate of accredited school of anesthesia by the AANA. Certified registered nurse anesthetist with Alabama licensure. Registered by the Alabama Board of Nurse Examiners.
Experience:
Prefer 2-3 years' experience as CRNA.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
ACLS, PALS and BCLS certification.
