Job Summary
<ul>
<li>The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a registered nurse prepared as a CNS at the masters or doctoral level with clinical expertise in evidence-based nursing practice within a specialty area.</li>
<li>The CNS treats and manages the health concerns of patients and populations and integrates knowledge of disease and medical treatments into assessment, diagnosis and treatment of illness.</li>
<li>The CNS provides leadership for the advancement of the practice of nursing and collaborative practice with the inter-professional care team to achieve quality and cost-effective patient outcomes.</li>
<li>Through practice in three spheres of influence: patient-client, nurses and nursing practice, and organization / system.</li>

Education Requirements

<li>Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.</li>
<li>Master's Degree</li>

Experience

<li>Oncology Experience Preferred</li>
</ul>
Certification and Licensure
<ul>
<li>Population-level credentialing as a CNS through the ANCC or the American Association or Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation OR CNS license through the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing</li>
