Description
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services at our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This is a part-time position, with a schedule of typically 1 day per week and shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours per day. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience in providing anesthesia care in an outpatient surgical setting. The CRNA will report to Facility Administrator/Director of Nursing and ASC Medical Director and will be an integral part of our surgical team, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia for surgical and non-surgical procedures in the ASC.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and prepare patients for anesthesia.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and anesthesia administration.
- Participate in quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with active licensure in the state of South Carolina.
- Healthcare experience within the last 5 years, preferably in an ASC setting.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
