Job Summary:The new Psychiatric Emergency Center, on the southwest side of the campus alongAllen Street at South Jennings, is the only one in Tarrant County and will havethree times the number of care spaces than our current facility. A highlyskilled team of Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, socialworkers and support personnel provide 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week services forpeople in mental health crisis, both voluntary and involuntary services.
The Psychiatric Emergency Center provides patient-centered care for allindividuals who present for evaluation. The multidisciplinary team assesses theperson and their situation to coordinate care for the best possible treatmentplan.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:Psychiatric Triage
Psychiatric Evaluation
Short term interventions including observation, monitoring and stabilization ofacute crisis
Referral services that meet the needs of the individual person
Evaluation for admission to an Acute Inpatient Unit
Position details - Full Time - Day Shift (8a-8p) - Three 12-hour shifts perweek, 39 per quarter.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:-Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing with PMHNP certification OR Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from and accredited program.
-Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an advanced practice provider in a psychiatric setting.
-Must have current Texas Physician Assistant license or Texas APRN license with PMHNP certification.
-DEA Certification
-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Environment:The PsychiatricEmergency Center provides patient-centered care 24-hour-a-day, 7 day-a-weekservices for people in mental health crisis, both voluntary and involuntaryservices. The APP will work alongside residents, fellows, and APP studentswhile closely collaborating with attending psychiatrists, primary teams, socialworkers, case managers, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
