Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) - Podiatry

MH Podiatry - Rockport & Belfast, Maine

MaineHealth is seeking a motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing MH Podiatry team, supporting practices in Rockport and Belfast. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced surgical Podiatrists in a high-volume, collaborative surgical and outpatient environment while enjoying life in beautiful coastal Maine.

Role Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider will play a vital role in supporting our busy surgical Podiatrists through a blended clinical and surgical first-assist role. The APP will care for a defined panel of routine and complex surgical podiatric patients and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum.

Key Responsibilities

  • First assist with Podiatrists in the operating room for a variety of foot and ankle procedures, limb salvage and/or reconstruction
  • Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage a subset of routine and complex podiatry patients
  • Perform office-based procedures related to podiatric care (e.g., wound care, injections, post-operative follow-ups)
  • Support post-operative care and recovery coordination
  • Collaborate closely with podiatrists, clinical staff, and the broader care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality, safety, and operational initiatives within the practice

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
  • Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
  • Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred, but not required
  • Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to team-based care
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach

  • The pay range for this position is $115,430 to $149,380 annually based on the candidate's level of experience.
