Join our cardiac surgery team managing adult patients across CABG, valve, aortic, MCS, and transplant care. As a primary inpatient provider, you'll practice at the top of your license with strong physician collaboration, clinical autonomy, and exposure to advanced cardiovascular cases.
Position Details:
- 3x12s | Rotating day/night shifts (option for straight nights or rotation)
- Lead inpatient perioperative management of cardiac surgery patients
- Perform assessments, develop treatment plans and manage acute care needs
- Coordinate care with surgeons, fellows and interdisciplinary teams
- Manage orders and interpret labs, imaging and cardiac monitoring
- Document H&P's, progress notes and discharges
- Educate patients and support safe transitions of care

Role Purpose
The Physician Assistant (Hospitalist) utilizes a high degree of knowledge, skill, and competence to deliver inpatient care in a hospital setting. This position assesses, diagnoses, and initiates a patient care treatment plan within the scope of a formal physician collaborative practice agreement. In this position, patient care is performed with considerable independence, guided by physician-approved protocols, and evaluated through chart review, consultations, and the observation of results under the general medical direction of their collaborating Hospitalist physician.
