Position Highlights

The Physician Assistant program is seeking a basic science instructor to participate in the program as an on-call instructor. The individual hired for this position will teach physiology content in the Foundation of Medicine course series and support the course co-director and other course assigned faculty. The position is PRN and hours and days worked will vary.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver physiology lectures synchronously/asynchronously for Foundations in Medicine course series.
  • Contribute to current course materials and build course materials for future courses in the series.
  • Collaborate with co-director of Foundations in Medicine and other assigned faculty members to assure continuity of course delivery.
  • Mentor PA faculty members assigned to teaching physiology content.
  • Advise and mentor students in course content as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Instructional Delivery and Curriculum Development skills.
  • Knowledge of Student Advisement best practices.
  • Ability to provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum 2 years teaching at graduate medical education level, preferably in physiology.
