Physician Assistant/Surgical (Cardiothoracic)
Inpatient Facility
6 am – Last case, 1-2 hearts & 10-15 consults/rounding per day (45-40 hrs./wk)
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, provides independent acute and/or routine surgical care. Primary duties include
preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative management of cardiothoracic and vascular patients, but may
be involved with other specialities.

Requirements for this job:
Bachelor’s degree. Graduate of approved physician assistant program.
Six months experience related directly to duties and responsibilities of position.
Experience in cardiovascular/thoracic first assisting.
1 year or more experience as first assistant in CV/thoracic procedures, saphenous vein harvesting and radial
artery harvesting, endoscopic vein harvesting.
Must have endoscopic Vein Harvesting experience
Current license in the state of practice
