Schedule:
Under the clinical supervision of a supervising physician, the incumbent is a certified Physician Assistant who possesses advanced training/skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating the well patient as well as the patient with acute illness and disease. Works in a collaborative team practice that recognizes the patient as the central focus. Supports the physician in situations requiring physical assessment and complex communications with patients. Serves as a patient educator in areas of specialization. Typically reports to a Department Chief. Education: Graduate of a State-approved program/school for Physician Assistants.
Possesses/eligible for national certification as a Physician Assistant. Possesses/eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Possession and maintenance of or eligibility for DEA and Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration. Two years of experience with strong preference for experience as a Physician Assistant within a primary and/or urgent care setting. Simple procedural skill sets required. |
