This position reports to the Administrative Director of Surgical Services and is responsible for twenty-four hour operation of the OSS, PACU, 5C Admit, Pre-anesthesia Screening, and Chart Prep. The incumbent will be expected to administer human and financial resources, and promote an accountability based and multidisciplinary teamwork environment, which enhances professional practices. Through effective leadership, teams will interact cooperatively, demonstrate system values in their interaction, service delivery, and decision making, have a customer focus, and produce work that is of a high quality and cost efficient.
This position oversees a staff of RNs, ancillary staff, and Surgical Services Clinical Managers.

Job Requirements:
MSN or BSN with MS/MA required or initiated within 1 year and completed within 5 years.
License to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse
CSPAN certification required
Three to five years of leadership experience in Peri-anesthesia care with budgeting, financial and program development.
Five years clinical management or supervisory experience required. Clinical experience in PACU and in an Outpatient procedural area required.
Experience with Pre-anesthesia Screening or Pre-surgical Testing preferred.
Demonstrated leadership ability, interpersonal and analytical skills.
8.Proven background of developing and maintaining positive relationships with Physican/Surgeon group.
9.Experience in budgeting, process improvement, and outcomes measurement.
10.Computer proficient in MS Office software and other clinical applications.
