Hospital Based Cardiology PA/ARNP (New Grad Possibility)
 
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
 
·         Performing and recording patient’s history & physical
·         Patient rounds and recording progress notes
·         Assisting with medical testing as required, i.e. treadmill testing
·         Provide emergency medical services
·         Transmits and executes standing orders
·         Orders appropriate tests, medications and therapy as directed by supervising physician
·         Dictates discharge summaries
The community is located half-way between Minneapolis, MN & Des Moines, IA.  Close to a recreational lake area.  Excellent school systems.  Other amenities include a fine arts museum, nationally recognized performing arts theater, dance studios, ice skating & hockey facility, and vocal and instrumental music venues.
Qualifications include:

• Completion of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program
• Iowa license or ability to be licensed in the state of Iowa
• National certification or eligible to sit for next exam.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Background in cardiology beneficial
