Oncology Nurse Practitioner/ Outpatient Clinic Setting – Greater Owensboro, Kentucky (New or Recent Graduates with previous Oncology RN Experience Encouraged to Apply)
We are seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner interested in joining a well respecting Oncology Group in greater Owensboro Kentucky. The Nurse Practitioner would be working in an outpatient clinic setting Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm with no weekends. There is a possibility of negotiating a 4X10 schedule (Mon-Thurs). The Provider would be working with a well respected collaborating Oncologist that enjoys training and mentoring Providers that have an interest and passion for Medical Oncology. Base salary range from $90,000-95,000 plus incentive bonuses (Depending Upon Experience) with a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, 401K with match, CME and CME Allowance. You will be working with mostly adult patients in this state of the art cancer center. You will be working alongside, one on one, with a board certified Oncologist.
About the Center:
Linear Accelerator - Currently, the center has a Seimens Oncor and is in the process of installing a Varian 21EX linear accelerator.
Dedicated CT Simulator
Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy
Image Guided Radiation Therapy
Low Dose Brachytherapy
The Center's Medical Oncology department is comprised of physician practice, and chemotherapy infusion. Patients receive their needed lab and X-Rays, see the physician and receive their chemotherapy treatments most of the time on the same day. Our registered nurses are specially trained in the most current chemotherapy agents and regimens. They act as patient advocates by providing information regarding the disease and educating on the chemo process. Certified RNs, and some with the National Certification by the Oncology Nursing Society, provide treatment follow-up to assess the patient's chemo process. These nurses also act as a patient liaison to the physicians.
Position Description:
Mon-Friday clinic + round on patients in Hospital as needed
Call - every other week to include the weekend opposite of the M.D. and M.D. said he would be available for phone calls from NP. Said to be light maybe 3 phone calls, rarely required to come on site due to Hospitalist Admit Oncology patients.
Qualifications:
Oncology experience or certification / Chemo dosage, etc required
Base Salary:
$90,000- $95,000 Depending Upon Experience with an Incentive bonus based on Productivity! $5,000 Relocation Package
