We have an excellent, part time opportunity available for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join this friendly, team oriented staff in the Santa Rosa (Napa Valley) area. This FQHC is located in beautiful Sonoma County where you will find California's wine country, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and the ocean. In the center of all of this natural beauty is Santa Rosa's charming downtown area, lined with a wonderful assortment of shops and restaurants. San Francisco is only 55 miles South of this area for additional entertainment, shopping, arts, cultural activities and so much more!
Currently, there is a part time position available for a Nurse Practitioner Residency Director. This position will involve advancing the education of the FNP Residents and preparing FNP Residents to address the health care needs of low income and culturally diverse populations by cultivating a high quality, student-centered environment. You will oversee staff participating as adjunct faculty, and will have responsibility of the day to day management of the FNP Residency program.
There will be no clinical time and the sole focus will be on program development, management and evaluation.
**Qualified NPs must be very strong leaders and must have 3-5 years experience in program management. Although you must be a seasoned clinician, you will not carry your own panel of patients (nor will you lead the residents in this regard.) Experience working @ a FQHC is highly desired. FNPs that are bilingual in Spanish are highly preferred; as a large percentage of the patient population is Spanish speaking!
***Hours are somewhat flexible, 20-24 hours per week. Days and times are flexible.
