KRC.0111.0801.46 Progressive cardiology practice seeks Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team. Full-time employment opportunity is immediately available in a bustling practice. Position would be working directly with a cardiologist in a 1:1 capacity.
ARNP's focus will include acute care inpatient (80%) and clinical (20%) responsibilities. Supervising cardiologists specialize in all aspects of cardiovascular care including but not limited to cardiac intervention, peripheral intervention, pacemakers and defibrillators. 125-150 open heart surgeries per year; Case volume of 350 cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries per year; 75 carotid, 40 lung, 35 peripheral, 50 ancillary; Maximum of 2-4 hours a month anticipated in travel time; the cardiologists go to 28 outreach clinics; ARNP's are almost always hospital based; Call coverage is 1:4; Average 35 patients a month. This position is predominately acute care hospital-based.
This is a unique opportunity to the ARNP candidate to perform in acute care cardiology including admissions, consults, subsequent visits, discharges, stress testing, as well as clinical obligations. Average patient census is dependent on hospital census.
Currently on staff is 1 Cardiovascular surgeon, 1 Cardiothoracic ARNP, 4 Cardiologists (5 starting in August), 4 ARNP, Various clerical and nursing staff.
