| Nurse Practitioner/Ottumwa, IA 52501 - There is an opportunity for a Family Nurse Practitioner in a rural Iowa hospital-owned clinic. A large portion of patients involve Workman's Compensation. There may also be an opportunity to do PRN in the ER. Prefer that the Nurse Practitioner has experience in Urgent Care or Occupational Medicine. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be self-directed to manage common illnesses and injuries. Hospital is opening an Urgent Care Clinic and there is an opportunity for an FNP there as well. Community of 25,000 in southeast Iowa. Ottumwa is call "The Bridge City" since the city is split into northern and southern halves by the Des Moines River. Ottumwa may be familiar to you since it was the fictional home of Corporal Radar O'Reilly in the television series, "M*A*S*H" and Hannibal "Iowa" Lee in the movie, "The Tuskegee Airmen". In the sitcom "Rosanne", the Lanford Lunch Box restaurant was modeled after Ottumwa's famous "Canteen Lunch in the Alley". Salary $80-85K plus hospital benefits. |
