We are seeking a highly motivated individual as the Clinical Director for our Womens and Childrens Division.
This newly designed role to support our new leadership model for Women’s and Children’s services will collaborate with the Divisional Director regarding the daily clinical leadership for the division. Supported by four team leaders, this candidate must possess exceptional customer service skills and foster positive physician relationships. Serves as a staff role model by providing leadership that encourages teambuilding, communication, positive attitudes and change. Supports the practice of nursing by modeling best nursing practice. Makes decisions based on current evidenced-based nursing practice and adheres to regulations set by regulatory agencies. Works interdependently to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Assures that operational efficiency is framed in performance improvement standards. Supports and encourages a shared governance environment within the division and hospital.
Qualifications

Texas RN license
-
Current BCLS and ACLS; if not current must obtain within first 30 days of hire

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Master preferred, certification in specialty area desirable.

3 to 5 years clinical experience; prefer 1 to 3 years management experience in related areas of nursing

Must be able to utilize computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point

Must possess effective communication skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data
About our Womens and Childrens Division
We are the preferred provider for both Women’s and Childrens . As the designated Children’s Miracle Network provider for the region for more than 20 years, the hospital offers many special pediatric programs, services, and advanced technology and equipment to care for children. For over 70 years the hospital has been known as the “baby” hospital of east Texas. With our annual number of births nearing 3,000 we are dedicated, as a faith-based organization, to helping ensure that every parent’s vision for their newborn – new life, new dreams, new hope – has the chance to be fulfilled. In November 2008, the hospital opened the first Level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in East Texas, making it possible to offer the state-of-the-art technology, facilities and skilled staff required to provide compassionate, quality care to both healthy babies and those born too sick or too soon, right here close to home and the support system of family and friends. By giving families local access to this level of medical care, we can eliminate the additional stress associated with travel, food and lodging expenses, and “missed work days” incurred when a newborn is transferred to another city.
This position oversees around 166 FTEs with Mother/Baby, NICU, L&D, and Childrens reporting to it. The Director reports to the Divisional Director.
