We are looking for a physician assistantto work within the hospital setting seeing patients in the ICU, CV-ICU, and Cath Lab. Our cardiac center has been nationally recognized as a progressive leader in cardiac care and is certified by The Joint Commission in both heart failure and the treatment of heart attack patients. The dedicated staff and cardiologists have decreased the time-to-treatment for heart attack patients to 45 minutes, which is half the 90-minute national goal.
State of the Art diagnostics and technology
Our cardiac center offers a wide array of diagnostic and therapeutic services ranging from stress tests and cardiac rehabilitation to more complex procedures like off-pump surgery and radiofrequency ablations. Cardiac Services consists of four cardiac cath labs and four open-heart surgery suites.
Job duties:
Orders and/or performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Develops and implements treatment plans when indicated
Monitors the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
Records pertinent patient data in progress notes
Provides patient/family education
Prescribes prescriptions for patients under prescriptive authority
Assists with Clinical Research
Requirements:
Licensed in the State of Texas as a Physician Assistant
1+ years of practicing experience as a Physician Assistant
Location:
