Job Duties:
Under the administrative supervision of the Director of Family Care Centers/Occupational Medicine and the medical supervision of the designated family practitioner, the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) is a licensed health care professional who is responsible for the delivery of safe, competent medical care to patients in the Family Care Center. He/she assumes responsibility/accountability for patient care outcomes of assigned patients. The ARNP provides clinical direction to Family Care Center staff for patient care activities, congruent with his/her scope of practice as determined by licensure. He/she is responsible for establishing and fostering a collaborative work relationship among all health care team members. The ARNP is responsible/accountable for ensuring that his/her clinical behavior is consistent with licensure authority and the mission, philosophy, goals, and standards. Other duties may be assigned. A Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) will be executed between the ARNP and the designated family practitioner. This CPA will cover the scope of practice and prescribing authority.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited school for ARNP. One year of prior experience in family medicine is preferred. Meets specific departmental criteria and/or certification. Obtain provider number for credentialing and reimbursement for all plans under contract with the medical center, i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, Anthem, Aetna. Demonstrates excellent customer service.
