Rashes
With the growing number of patients we have to see knowing how to evaluate a rash becomes paramount. About 30% of patient’s visits are Dermatology related. This is an area that many get only a few weeks of training in. With a systematic approach to the evaluation of Rashes, there will be no Rash too hard even for the recent Graduate. Common things are common, and if you hear Horses, think of Horses before you look for Zebras. This presentation will teach you how to systematically evaluate and diagnose Rashes.
Skin Biopsies
Whenever you need more information about a skin condition, it requires you to do some procedure. This presentation gives you the hands on knowledge to preform basic Dermatologic procedures and guides you on what types of biopsy to perform. The presentation will cover all aspects of what is needed to complete this billable in-office procedure and discuss the techniques used in a Dermatology practice.
Learning how to do a shave biopsy correctly with minimal scarring is essential in today’s marketplace. Knowing when to do a punch biopsy vs. shave is the difference in getting the desired information to assist you in making the correct diagnosis for your patients.

Randy Banks, MBBS, PA-C, recently completed Medical School with USAT Montserrat, British West Indies.
He attended the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Physician Associate Degree with Distinction. He earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. He is a graduate of the United States Army Physician Assistant Program and has practiced medicine for 19 years. He commanded the largest free standing health clinic in Germany and is fluent in the German language. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is the Past President of the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. He is the former Vice President of the European Society of Physician Assistants. Randy has experience in all aspects of managing and coordinating conferences,,national and international, advisory boards, grant writing and contractual agreements. Randy has developed many educational programs in Europe and the United States. Randy founded the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and assists the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants with State organizations.
Randy is a retired Army officer and served his country for over 20 years. Randy spends his free time with his grandchildren and boating.
